ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was shot in the shin when his convoy was targeted in the country’s east on Thursday, according to an aide.

Former cricketer Khan, 70, led a protest march on Islamabad calling for snap elections.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the shooting and directed the interior minister to launch an investigation right away.
