Keputusan ini dibuat berikutan kelewatan prosedur dan kegagalan pendakwaan untuk menyerahkan dokumen penting, dan disambut dengan kelegaan oleh pihak penyokong Najib, yang percaya bahawa kes ini tidak mempunyai asas yang kukuh.
