The Mat Kilau hero will help BN Youth in other states as well
In run-up to GE15, Adi Putra, who acted as Mat Kilau in an epic movie with the same title, has been appointed Selangor BN Youth icon.
This was announced by Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki in a social media posting today after a visit by the A-List actor.
“He is willing to spend time helping the BN Youth in other states as well in the run-up to the 15th General Election.
“The Mat Kilau hero is also my friend who came to visit me.
“We discussed about lots of things, among them to instil patriotism among the youth,” said Asyraf.
The box office movie also gave an insight to the youth to understand the country’s history, Asyraf added.
He also explained Adi Putra’s absence at the launch of BN Youth machinery earlier as the actor was in Makkah to perform Umrah but has given his word to help the BN Youth.
The movie collected almost RM100 million in box-office takings and is currently being shown on Netflix garnering top ten rankings in various parts of the world. The movie has drawn mixed response from the viewers, but most agree that it has however enhanced the fighting spirit among the Malays in the country, perfectly timed for the coming elections. – NMH
